Georgian "Jesus & Skull" Carved Bone Pendant band circa 1910DATE: George III, c. 1790 A weird and wonderful Georgian double head pendant depicting Jesus on one side and a skull on the other. Its carved from ox bone, with stunning detail and execution. Im not really sure what to make of the subject Maybe "Life and Death" the skull is clearly some sort of memento mori, but paired with Jesus theres likely some Christian symbolism thats not clear.
