Germany, Ordnungspolizei. A Police Long Service Award, III Class for 8 Years Archive 10mm (h of eagle)(Dienstauszeichnung der Polizei III. Klasse fr 8 Jahre). Instituted 30 January 1938. (1938 1945 issue). Constructed of silvered tombak, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, the obverse bearing an Ordnungspolizei insignia in the form of an oval oak leaf wreath overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a number 8, circumscribed by an inscription of FR TREUE
