12th Century Islamic Persian Khurasan Silver Inlaid Bronze Calligraphy Inkwell Recently Added An unusual pair of antiqueAn ancient Khurasan silver and copper inlaid bronze inkwell, Eastern Persia or Herat, 12th 13th century, from an important private Middle East collection. The inkwell is of cylindrical shape with a domed shaped lid with dot shaped silver and copper inlay in a stylized floral form, the lid having a knop shaped finial. Both the lid and base having engraved cartouches inlaid with silver calligraphic inscriptions. The base has corresponding stylized
