The baby size is perfect for sleeping for a baby up to around 3 years old (so yes, it lasts a long time). Afterwards, it can still be used for stroller rides, in the car or on the couch. (My 3 and a half year old son now uses the "medium" size in his bed to sleep but still takes the baby size for outings) Dimensions:
