If your brakes are starting to feel weak, it may be time to replace your pads. Type J pads are finned pads to suit Shimano 2 piston brakes. The cooling fins help to disperse the heat so you get less fade under heavy, sustained braking. The same pad shape is available in Type G which is the non finned version of this pad. The pads are available in both Sintered Metallic and Resin Organic options. Sintered Metallic: Pros: Less fade
