This uniquely bow tie shaped industrial reflector was patented in 1931 by Dirk G. Saaf and fabricated by the Goodrich Electric Company of Chicago. Designed to direct light downward, it features a white porcelain enamel finish over cold rolled steel and was originally used in narrow aisle library settings.
