Constructed of silvered brass with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a German State Crown, surrounding a central black and white enameled medallion situated within a red enameled border, overlaying a ribbed field, the reverse with a crimped hinge and narrow banjo style pinback meeting a round wire catch emanating from a
