"Camerone at Dien Bien Phu" evokes the commemoration of the Battle of Camerone (April 30, 1863) celebrated by the legionnaires of the 13th Foreign Legion Half Brigade (13e DBLE) in the heart of the Battle of Dien Bien Phu, on April 30, 1954. On that day, as the fate of the garrison was sealed, General de Castries, Colonel Langlais, and Genevive de Galard were named honorary corporals of the Foreign Legion. A week later, on
