As the story goes, he picked up a vintage red 1962 Gibson ES 335 in 1996 to record his solo career debut record. Later in 2001 he sold the guitar to pay for his move to the west coast. We all know the story of the one we let go, but Joe was somehow lucky enough to be reunited with the very same guitar 20 years later and vowed never to part with it
