A Crimea Period French Officer's Gorget, c.1855 United Republic of the sole proprietor of PragnallA Crimea Period c. 1855 French Officer's Gorget Brass base with a silver insignia affixed in the centre, the insignia illustrating a left facing rooster, its right foot on a cannonball inscribed "FRANCE", its left foot on a flagpole, crossed French flags on flagpoles below, inscribed "LIBERTE" on the left one and "ORDRE PUBLIC" on the right one, oak leaf clusters around the tops of both flagpoles, the junction of the two flagpoles passing through a
