2020 Davide Carlone Croatina Colline Novaresi, Piedmont, Italy (750ml) Coffee Liqueur then barrel-aged for minimum twoWINEMAKER'S NOTES: Dark ruby red and red highlights with an abundance of fruit on the nose. TASTING NOTES: The 2020 Croatina is packed with blue purplish fruit, lavender, spice, menthol and mocha. There's plenty of textural opulence, but the tannins are also balanced, certainly more so than in the 2022s from Carlone. There's not much subtlety here that much is obvious but the 2020 certainly has a ton to offer. It's a great example of the house style.
