c. 1960s Welch Demonstration Micrometer film canister 5"W x 14"D x 21"HOversized classroom demonstration model of a micrometer. This piece was manufactured by W. M. Welch Scientific Co. in Chicago, who in addition to lab equipment, specialized in large scale models of scientific instruments for educational purposes. They were in operation from 1880 until 1968 when they were bought out by The E. H. Sargent Co. This piece is in good condition, but exhibits a few spots of fading and dents. 36" H x 13" D x 17" H MM 4342
